Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before connecting to Lytx Data Connector, ensure you have:

• Active Lytx account with Data Connector enabled
• One of the supported BI tools installed:
  • Microsoft Excel 2016 or later (Desktop Edition)
  • Power BI Desktop
  • Tableau Desktop 2020.2 or later
• Connector credentials from Lytx Support

Step 1: Request Access

Contact your Lytx Support or Customer Success Manager or submit a support ticket requesting Data Connector activation and credentials. Our support team will respond with the credentials within 1 business day.

Step 2: Receive Credentials

Once approved, you'll receive an email containing:

• Username: Your connector username (default format: data_user)
• Password: Auto-generated secure password
• Database Name: Your organization's GeoTab Database Name

Store these credentials securely. Passwords cannot be retrieved once sent. If lost, you must request a credential reset.
